Our
approach is unique but grounded in science.
Glüh's
Ethnofuturism practice is based on ethnography, the understanding and
communication of a culture’s challenges, needs, desires, choices and
motivations by actually living amongst inhabitants of a community and sharing
their fundamental living situation, language, culture
and perspective. Ethnofuturism is this cultural ethnography matched
with strong strategy skills, experienced intuition and critical thinking to
make sense of cultural findings. It goes beyond traditional quantitative
research and focus groups that do not represent real life situations.
To
produce meaningful consumer insights and reports, Glüh
Ethnofuturists travel to various target cities around the globe, immersing
themselves for a two month period in each. These
cities are typically bohemian lifestyle centers, experiencing interesting
technological developments, especially with respect to mobile communications
and living.
To
create a maximum of insights and outputs, Glüh
Ethnofuturists use a proprietary three phase approach to understand mobile
consumers and workers:
